What is the Further Faster Network?

In 2019, five churches from across the UK and Ireland came together around a singular passion. Reaching people who had no church experience.

These leaders gathered in the hope of helping each other to remove unnecessary barriers and reach those people in their communities who felt far from God. Barriers both in their churches and in their own leadership.

Today, those five churches have become more than fifty-five churches across Ireland and the British Isles and over three hundred churches across the world. All of whom are committed, not to a common style or set of prescribed practices, but to universal principles worked out in ways as varied as the communities these churches inhabit.

How does the Network help church Leaders and their teams?

The Further Faster Network engages in four C’s to service churches and their leadership teams.

  1. Content – We create and curate content from this network and our partner networks around the world. Through engaging videos, nationwide workshops, seminars, webinars, and our bespoke learning platform, we help leadership teams to develop their spiritual and emotional health and their strategic and organisational skills.
  2. Coaching – Group and individual coaching calls and on-site visits allow leaders and their teams to gain a candid outside perspective from other leaders who share the same aim as them for their community. We all want each other to grow, so feedback is honest but always aimed towards growth.
  3. Connection – The power of the network is the network. You and your team will benefit from an enlarged, national, and global community. Connection opportunities are plentiful to give us time to develop trust so that we’re able to help each other to become healthier and more capable, personally and professionally.
  4. Context – The Further Faster Network is made up of churches of radically different contexts. Size, demographic, culture. You’ll be joining churches that occupy a similar context, as well as those living in very different worlds. The systems we’ve developed for contextualisation will help you learn from all of them.

What is a Further Faster Network church?

Network churches look, sound, and feel different from one another. There are, however, some commonalities we’ve observed that we believe help them to remove barriers and effectively reach unchurched people. Everything this Network does is aimed at developing these common principles within church leadership teams.

1. Big Vision

Network churches share a common vision: to become a Jesus-centred, outward-facing community. We dream of a day when every community has a church that is having Jesus formed within them for the sake of those around them.

2. Two Core Values

Healthy Leadership & Strategic Leadership. We want to be leaders worth following— service-oriented, emotionally mature, and courageous. We do what we do on purpose and for a purpose. Starting with the end in mind, we are intentional about the steps we take.

3. Five Foundational Principles

  1. Be For Our Community — We want our community to be glad we’re here and better because we are.
  2. Developing Radical Disciples — We pursue authentic community and maturing faith, not just Sunday attendance.
  3. Create a Come and Experience Culture — We design Jesus-centred experiences that draw people in and keep them coming back.
  4. Prioritise the Next Generation — We believe the faith of the next generation is worth everything, and we staff and budget accordingly.
  5. We Gain, Train, and Retain Volunteers – We’ve found that excellent serving team experiences are the secret sauce to move people from consumers to contributors.
