What is it?

This workshop will help church leaders step back and intentionally map the journey people take from their first encounter with your church through to becoming active and connected in order to fuel their discipleship. Together, we’ll identify key moments and movements someone could take through your organisation, and explore how each stage can create richer opportunities for meaningful relationships and spiritual formation.

If you’re looking to reach more people beyond your existing congregation, strengthen how people connect once they arrive, and build a clearer pathway for intentional spiritual formation to take place at each step of the journey, this day will give you practical tools, fresh ideas, and a simple framework you can begin using immediately.

Whether you’re leading a large church or a small congregation, you and your team will leave with a clearer picture of how your church can help people grow effectively and connect deeply as they move through your organisation.

The Further Faster Leadership Intensive is a full workshop day for you, your staff & volunteer teams. This workshop is built around a conversational teamwork tool that won’t make sense without most of your team present on the day.

Who is leading the day?

Joining the Further Faster team is Matt Johnson, Director of ICN North America. Matt was formerly the Lead Pastor of Journey Church in Kentucky, which is known for its crazy good volunteer experience. Honestly, spend two minutes chatting to any one of these folks, and you’ll be serving alongside Matt and his church community in no time. Matt is passionate about reaching people who don’t “do church” and inviting them into a church experience focused on deep and transformative discipleship relationships. In his current role, Matt develops leaders across the US to become healthy, intentional leaders who’re creating Jesus-centred, outward-facing churches in their communities. We can’t wait for you to meet him. 

What will I leave with?

You’ll clarify your mission, sharpen your strategy, and build momentum that actually
lasts – so your church doesn’t just run harder, but goes further. It will pull you out of the
day-to-day noise so you can refocus your leadership, cut what’s not working, and build
a strategy that prioritises reaching people over running programmes.
